Hey👋, thanks for the interest
The Knights Tour Challenge was created by me, Dave Hogan who lurks on @davehoganiw
I'm a software developer primarily working with back-end technologies and have always been interested in chess.
Albeit I'm not very good. I recently wanted to experiment with client-side development without frameworks or anything too heavy.
I had several goals:
- Create something without React, Angular, or Vue etc...
-
Expanding my Webpack/Gulp bundling and minification experience
- I have written about my experiences with bundling and minifying before. Why isn't it as well considered or as easy in the dotnet world as it is in the Node world? 🤔 Anyone remember WebGrease 🤮?
- Learn more about aria and website accessibility, as it's been a while!
- What can AI do to support the creation of this?
- Have some fun with Cursor.ai and Claude 3.5 Sonnet - all the rage at the moment, eh!
Why the Knights Tour?
Simply because I know the puzzle and the rules, and it's simpler than full-blown Chess! I've created many iterations of the Knight's Tour over the years. It's my goto problem domain for learning a new language, having created functional versions in both C# and F#
